Oceanfront Launch
Ideal Design Firm proudly launched the new Oceanfront Cottage Rentals, LLC website Wednesday of this week. Their site was originally managed in a page by page fashion using Frontpage. The new design was primarily done by my business partner and our lead designer Bill. I constructed the back-end with the exception of the javascript library ‘Script.aculo.us’. We initially started the project in late last year but it was put on hold temporarily. We picked it back up a couple of months ago and the big launch came yesterday. It’s been a fun journey designing and developing a custom rental management system for them.
Oceanfront Cottage’s original site contained over 100 individual pages which were manually edited each time an update was required. For the new site we built a custom fitting Php/MySQL management system that updates with ease. Also knit into the structure of the site is the ever popular Script.aculo.us library with the addition of Lightview for a few minor areas. For all of the flash we used my favorite flash slideshow component called Slideshow Pro. With these powers combined…sorry…Captain Planet flashback. With these languages and libraries came the new and improved Oceanfront Cottage Rentals website. Take a look and let me know what you think!
